Full Job Description

DYT Superyacht Transport is looking for some additional Operational talent. Are you driven and skilled enough for us? Willing to work more than 9 to 5 and work in an international environment under challenging conditions?

Duties & Responsibilities:

Engineering and Operational matters of the fleet. Drawings, load plans, stow plans, stability, lashing and sea fastening calculations, as well as port operations for the vessels we operate.

Creating detailed drawings and plans to determine if loading and stowing on our vessels is possible.

  • Creating docking & Seafastening plans for the cargo in line with the latest requirements for the sea transport
  • Verification of the loading/submerging condition of the vessel and check possible limitations for the port/terminals
  • File drawings, maintain catalogues of engineering data, and perform other routine drawing room functions as required
  • Assist during loading and discharging operations in port and onboard our vessels.

Position Requirements

  • Successful completion of high school diploma or equivalent 1-2 years of training at a technical/Naval or Merchant marine school or equivalent experience
  • 1-4 years of experience in the preparation of engineering drawings and diagrams or similar work
  • AutoCAD skills
  • Strong PC/IT skills ( i.e., Word, Excel, etc)
  • Ability to deal with a variety of individuals from various socio-economic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds.
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Other Skills/Abilities * Self-motivated * Work independently * Team-oriented * Customer-oriented * Able to manage multiple tasks and provide leadership to other team members.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in the production of engineering quality drawings using AutoCAD
  • Experience working with standards for marine operations and maritime transport, such as DNV-ST-N001 or similar
  • Seagoing experience is a plus

DYT FT Lauderdale is looking to expand its team and hire a full-time booking agent

The position of BOOKING AGENT is responsible for the handling of all steps from an initial inquiry to booking, developing new relationships, and managing voyage preparations all while providing an exceptional customer experience. This position is a junior-level sales position that will be challenging, incorporating all facets of understanding how DYT works. 60% of daily activities within this position will be administrative, 20% is voyage-related, and 20% travel to industry events and trade shows.

Requirements:

  • Customer service oriented
  • Motivated attitude
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, detail-oriented
  • Good Knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Computer savvy
  • Minimum 2 years experience in the field of customer service (maritime background is preferred but not mandatory)
  • Fluent in English, both verbally and written
  • Valid US work permit
  • Some nights and weekends work are required
  • Some travel is required (20% or less)
